Every day I'm stippling…
Craft fairs are a wonderful place to find inspiration.
Or, if you're crazy like me, your head will start spinning with anxiety over all the projects you feel like revisiting and reworking (e.g. this stippled Snailbert Shrinky Dink). He needs reworking because his weird Snailbert shape is too awkward to wear on a necklace, so for the past few months he's been squirming around on my desk without a home or purpose. Sigh.
So, my solution to satisfy my post craft fair anxiety…
Digitize my illustration and have a Snailbert party! \o/ \o/ \o/

#instacloth
I'm working on a series of trendy camera app imagery tshirts.
They are basic white tees with (perhaps an overly) filtered image on the chest.
My inspiration comes from the trends I saw while visiting AU during the summer months. From the first time I spied one of these tees in Melbourne I was convinced that apps now have the functionality to Save To Tshirt. Woah, our iPhones are revolutionizing fashion too! ::updates status and posting pic to Path::
The shirts are called #instacloth
The first shirt, Sunday, is for sale by Redbubble

I made three cat related gifts for xmas. THREE.
1. 11x17" print of demolove
...if you're not part of the solution, Marge,
you're part of the problem!
2. set of cat buttons
made out of a knit shirt. though, i learned that stretching knits over buttons results in neurotic/unhappy cat faces. i'll stick with wovens for the next batch.
3. cat Shrinky drink charm
i drew this for a project a few years ago. recently found it in a sketch book, scanned it, edited out the coffee spills, and printed onto inkjet Shrinky Dink film. again, the kitty face looks unhappy. but that's the fault of my stippling.

The Song of Wandering Aengus
I adore beer & wine bottle labels. So much so that I'm not only collecting them, I'm dressing up like them ^^ (And, if you're anything like me, you too make your beverage purchases based on the packaging design. Y'know, it's logical.)
Before any glass bottles are tossed into the recycle bin,
save the sticker!
Easy: fill up the sink or a pot with hot water and soak the bottle for a bit (fill the bottle so it sinks), and the label will safely peel off in one piece! Beware that the glue might still be a bit tacky.

When did festivals stop being about music?
Maybe around the time MTV changed to 24hrs of reality shows.
Apparently it's not about how many bands you see, it's how much you can
consume consume consume.
/Crying Indian Series.
But still — great music, great fiends, great birthday treat :)

Bright, Vic, Australia
I must be a silly American, because I thought the second you land in Australia you see kangaroos hopping around. Not exactly. Drove three hours north to Bright and I found these roos. They are basically timid tripods with t-rex arms. And I love them all.

Blow
I'm obsessed with making gifs (this week). I've yet to find a decent app to quickly build them with iPhone images, so this was put together in PS. And it would look 10x better if I didn't have a flight
to catch in an hour. Off to AU, buh byeee!
