I made three cat related gifts for xmas. THREE.
1. 11x17" print of demolove
...if you're not part of the solution, Marge,
you're part of the problem!
2. set of cat buttons
made out of a knit shirt. though, i learned that stretching knits over buttons results in neurotic/unhappy cat faces. i'll stick with wovens for the next batch.
3. cat Shrinky drink charm
i drew this for a project a few years ago. recently found it in a sketch book, scanned it, edited out the coffee spills, and printed onto inkjet Shrinky Dink film. again, the kitty face looks unhappy. but that's the fault of my stippling.

...i is gotta sit and paint muh face
i used to have a habit of painting myself (usually like a cat) while working on a project, forgetting about it, and then going out in public. And more than once that resulted in me strangers responding with offensive meows.
*by used to i mean i no longer show my painted face in public

Maybe around the time MTV changed to 24hrs of reality shows.
Apparently it's not about how many bands you see, it's how much you can

I was reblogged, and I don't even have a Tumblr...
I submitted one of my keet photos to F YEAH CATS! and it was reblogged a gazillion times. But also...this just goes to show you that there are no longer any original thoughts on Tumblr/no one is given credit for their original work...
thus ruining our blogosphere.
Though, that is the nature of the internet. Sigh.

Coco for camera apps!
Since I broke my Nikon :( my iPhone has been my camera.
And I have a growing obsession with iPhone apps.
Each app has some noteworthy features: an excuse to use a toy camera without developing film or shopping at Urban Outfitters (PictureShow), image cropping on the go (Camera+), filters to make your life look more interesting (Instagram), no need to be your own stitch assistant (Photosynth), and... well...
I don't know what to think about this one:
Maybe because it's in Korean. Or maybe because it takes quad photos so rapidly that if doesn't have time to focus, or maybe because its depth of field gets confused.
Oh well — MEXICAN DINNER CAT!

Sunny NYE in Philly
Rang in 2010 (aka: the year of kerning) with lovers & strangers && cats in Flipadelphia.
Good fortune feast: Mike and I struggled to find an open Chipotle in Maryland on NYE. The only feature the Chipotle iPhone app doesn't have is telling you whether or not the place is actually open. & as luck would have it, Ryanbrian brings our craving to the fiesta: 17 gallons of pico & guac and about 2000 crispy corn treats tossed in lime.
Good fortune felines: Marty McFly has a dizzy cerebellum and walks like he's intoxicated.
Rooney was broken in other various ways too. Bless their little keet hearts!
Good fortune fest: Following the sounds of trumpets in the AM brought me to this flamboyant parade. It hasn't started yet so I walk through the sea of costumes and chat with these people. Each glittery, feathery parader had a beer in their hand (or a pretzel) and was dancing in the new year. Wonderful.
