Romaine Brooks, Una, Lady Troubridge, 1924
My fifth favorite hobby is dressing up as works of art.
This portrait is on my to do list. I've *always* wanted to wear a monocle and be surrounded by Dachshunds.

Albrecht Dürer, The Dead Christ with the Crown of Thorns, 1503
Today is Easter so here's some Jesus.
I chose these not as religious pieces of art, rather images that depict Jesus as a human.
A dying and dead human with gruesome details. Enjoy!

I can't find the name, but I saw this in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels. Jesus's tomb was stinky.

Deja lu

Andrew Wyeth, Faraway, 1952.
That's Wyeth's son, Jamie. They were out on a walk together when Jamie dropped one of his toy soldiers. Upon the hunt for the missing toy, Jamie ran off. The toy hunt changed to finding Jamie, and when he did Jamie was just sitting in the dry grass, lost in his dreams. (I cannot confirm whether or not the toy soldier was recovered.)

They carried her off!
The woman who cannot take care of herself belongs to the first who seizes her, and when the mischief is done, people are surprised that she has been carried off.

This day in art history:
Caillebotte – Jour de pluie à Paris (Paris Street; Rainy Day)
But let me remind you that I'm in San Francisco.
So replace the posh black umbrellas with rainbows
or some kind of fabulous fluro colored headgear.
